About these terms
These terms apply when you order food, hampers or catering from Ely Hampers. By placing an order with us — by phone, email, WhatsApp or through this website — you agree to these terms. They sit alongside any specific quote we send you.
Orders & quotes
Quotes are valid for 14 days from issue. An order is confirmed once you have accepted the quote and we have acknowledged it in writing (a WhatsApp or email reply counts as writing).
Deposits & payment
For larger orders we may ask for a deposit to secure the date, with the balance due before delivery. The deposit and payment schedule will be set out in your quote. We accept bank transfer; we do not currently take card payments.
Cancellation
Cancellation terms vary by order size and how close to the event you are. Specific terms will be in your quote. As a general guide:
- More than 14 days before the event: we usually refund any deposit, less any costs we've already incurred.
- Inside 14 days: the deposit may be retained.
- Inside 48 hours: the full balance is normally payable as ingredients have been ordered and prep is under way.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your order.
Allergens & dietary
Our kitchen handles common allergens including gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, soya and sesame. We can prepare individual boxes for vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, but we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free preparation environment. If a guest has a severe allergy, please discuss it with us before placing an order so we can advise.
Delivery & collection
Delivery in Ely is free; further afield is quoted on request. Collection is free from our kitchen at CB6 1SA by appointment. We hand-over chilled food in suitable packaging — please follow any storage instructions we give you with your order, and consume on the date specified.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Otherwise, our liability for any single order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
